After months of planning, our crew was finally able to complete three entire days of unloading items off of the USS Saratoga (CV/A-60), with the Navy’s permission. It entailed a lot of man hours, hard work, and a giant crane to accomplish, but we are thrilled to have secured a number of important artifacts that we look forward to displaying on-board the USS John F. Kennedy when we acquire her. The project spent the first 12 years working to secure the Saratoga before she was removed from Donation status, and she holds a special place in all of our hearts.
